Familiar Binding Talismans
Want to create a familiar binding talisman? Then you came to the right place!
The first thing you need to do is type RUNE COMMON. If you do not know the binding rune, then you will need to have a fellow wizard teach you the rune (it seems that existing Plat wizards that know 920 have the rune automatically). Once you know the rune, here's a step by step guide to creating your very own binding talisman.
Step One : Purchase materials.
You need to visit your local alchemy shop and purchase the following items: runestone, ink, and brush.
Then, you need to visit your local guild shop and purchase the following item: talisman
Step Two : Create your Binding Runestone
Get out your brush and your ink. Type: dip brush in my ink This should coat the tip of the brush with ink.
Now type: draw binding rune on runestone with brush This should effectively draw the rune onto the runestone for you to use.
Step Three : Preparing the Talisman
Put up the brush and get out your talisman. Type: wave runestone at talisman This should infuse the talisman so it can hold the magic you are attempting to put into it.
Step Four : Familiar Choice
You must have the familiar active who's type you wish to bind to the talisman. It will only bind the type of familiar and not necessarily the descriptors (i.e. cat, wolf, wyrdling, frog, mouse, falcon, raven, owl). Naturally, if you do a wyrdling you will get your chosen element (wyrdlings require you to be attuned). Once the familiar you wish to infuse into the talisman is available, type the following:
wave talisman at familiar (where familiar is the familiar type you have currently casted)
Step Five : Finalizing the Talisman
Next, type: prep 920 then type: cast at talisman Your binding talisman should be finished and ready to use. According to documentation, you get 20 uses from the talisman.
Using the Talisman To Call Familiar
Simply hold the talisman in your right hand and prep and cast call familiar.
